Slimy Suzanne by reynante Slimy Suzanne by reynante
Hi! I haven't been able to do much playing with Blender lately since we started on our animation projects. Anyhow, yesterday, I got some loose time and thought it might be a good idea to chill in Blender. Here's a material test I've made. Used a combination of Subsurface Scattering, color ramps, and of course the ever powerful material nodes (plus composite nodes). All hail Suzanne (Blender's mascot)! ^_^

Note: all Blenderified

And here's a test animation I did > [link]

That was one of the questions I've had too before I actually started using material nodes. But there are really times when you needed more control over your materials that you can't simply do with the native material settings in Blender.
