Furball done! ^_^' I haven't been able to upload any fur-related Blender artworks lately and I thought I might give it a try. Here it is, hope you like it.

Made in: Blender

Did you use nodes for DoF blur?
Was it done using Defocus node?

:iconreynante:
Yes, I always am. But looking at it now, I think I overdid the defocusing here. ^_^

Thanks so much. :thanks:

The fur looks very good, but I'm not sure about the light (?). His front looks somewhat dark, and there are some black edges (shadow?) at the feet.

But greet job, I should learn to use the particle system :p!

HmmmMm, yeah, the shadows are a pain. My lighting scheme here somewhat is to emphasize more on the fur and backlighting as opposed to key and fills. ^_^

Thanks for the comment.

Fix the focus, and it will be an A+. Nevertheless, well done.

Hehehe! ^^; Uhmmm, I did play a bit with textures to achieve the smooth transition. But the fur itself was of course created from static particles. ^^;
