I designed this one after being inspired with the tutorial I've read. I left my PC last night to generate the image 'coz I thought it would take 3 hours or so to create it but it only took 2 hours.
The output doesn't seem so good to me, so I enhanced it with GIMP and added some text to make it more "viewable".
Wow, thanks for the very appreciative comment. I'll take that as a compliment, and next time, I'll make my clouds more realistic. hehe! I think that's the effect of raising/lowering the color curves. Thanks!
Thanks man! The color of the haze was actually made possible with GIMP, because when it was rendered, the haze was kinda yellow, so I thought maybe I'll change it, then charan!
I'm glad you liked it. How 'bout the contact of the water with the land? Is it just fine?
Ah, that's cool. The contact with the land looks great except for the lower right quadrant where...maybe just to me, it seems it lacks the feeling of depth...in that maybe that bit of land/sandbar is just "there"...but...that may just be my ottal lack of never seeing such formations!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
